The City of Weston adopted a Technology Strategic Plan and partnered with R2 to modernize its network using Cisco DNA Center, Cisco Identity Services Engine, Cisco StealthWatch, Catalyst switching, wireless infrastructure, and Software-Defined Access. R2 integrated the city's VPN, supported a fully virtual desktop environment, and now manages the city's network environment. During COVID-19, Weston transitioned to remote operations with minimal disruption and was later recognized as the #1 Digital City in its population category.
